AETHER

Deep space, scrubbed frame by frame as you scroll, with a full brand built over the top of it.

AETHER, a deep space scene in cosmic blue and near black
AETHER. The same engine as MARÉA, taken to the opposite end of the palette.

What it is

AETHER is a concept for a space exploration company. No client, no real company, nothing being sold. It runs on the same engine as MARÉA, ISOLA and ASCENT, pushed to the far end of the palette on purpose.

That was the point of building it. An engine that only looks good in one colour is not an engine, it is a template. AETHER is near black and cosmic blue. MARÉA is warm gold. Same machinery underneath.

What you see when you open it

It opens on the frontier is calling, over footage that keeps moving behind every section of the page. Three acts follow, Exploration, Engineering and Vision. A line drifts past reading where silence has a sound, and it closes on ready to leave Earth behind.

The camera pushes in as you scroll, so the page pulls you outward into the dark rather than dropping you down a column of text.

How it was built

  • AI generated footage cut into a frame sequence, with the frame on screen tied to your scroll position. Scrolling scrubs the film.
  • The canvas is fixed behind the page and every act carries its own gradient scrim, which matters more here than anywhere else because the type is light and the frames are almost black.
  • Smooth scroll, custom cursor, pointer parallax and a scroll-driven push in.
  • Nothing redraws unless something actually changed, so an idle page costs nothing.

What it demonstrates

Two things. First, that one engine can carry completely different brands, which is what makes a build like this affordable. The hard part is built once and themed per client rather than started from scratch every time.

Second, that dark design gets checked properly. A near black page can hide a genuine fault, a hero that never painted at all looks identical to a hero that is meant to be dark. So the finished pages get measured, not eyeballed, and AETHER passed while sitting deliberately darker than its siblings.

See AETHER for yourself

Best seen with the lights down. It is a deliberately dark page and it holds detail in the shadows.
